Ladies, yall are absolutely amazing! Your response to the giveaway has been way more than I was ever expecting and I am so thrilled. Thank you soooo much for becoming followers. I love meeting new friends in the blogging world and its been wonderful getting to know so many of you! If you haven't entered yet don't worry you still have plenty of time and remember if you spread the word and post about it you get entered an additional two times!

Fall is officially here and Texas is feeling it...FINALLY! This weekend has been cold, wet and rainy and I must admit...I am loving it! The Friday afternoon storms brought in the chilly weather and hopefully it is here to stay. It has given me the chance to wear my gorgeous new scarf from the sweet Roxanne and the opportunity to light my latest purchase...the Pumpkin Spice scent by Tyler Candles. It screams fall!

Chris and I had a wonderful weekend. It started off at RA with sushi and drinks to celebrate our newest friend Suzanne's 30th birthday! Chris and I moved into our house not too long ago and we have just now begun to really meet our neighbors. We are blessed with neighbors on both sides of us that we absolutely adore. From the moment we met Ryan and Suzanne, to the right of us, it was an instant friendship and we have hung out numerous times since and have already made plans in the near future. We had an absolute blast with them Friday night and it was a great way to start of the weekend. Saturday Chris and I were moving a little slow, you can blame it on the alcohol. But that night we were ready to go for a game night at the Watts Household. They just moved into their house and it looks amazing. I am trying to get her back into blogging again!!! I just know that she will find it so rewarding.

Today has been a lazy one, sorta. We ran a bunch of errands earlier this afternoon but after Chris treated me to my favorite place for fried pickles it was time to come home and relax. So I am sitting here with my sweet yorkie snoozing in my lap while I type away and smell that pumpkin spice scent coming from the kitchen. Tonight I am making breakfast for dinner, one of Chris and I's favorite thanks to my Mimi whom used to make it all the time for us. I am going to finally test out our waffle maker. Yep, we have been married for a year and a half and I still haven't made those waffles yet. I will let you know how they turn out.

Michele Update: she looks sooo much better than she did last week. She is a fast healer and I know that in no time she will be back to normal. She is going to try and go to work tomorrow. I am not sure how long she will last and I must admit I am a little nervous. So wish her luck!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend and stayed warm and cozy.

Scarf Swap Reveal

I was so thrilled to participate in a Scarf Swap hosted by my sweet friend Meredith. I absolutely love scarves and I especially LOVE the one that my partner Roxanne got me! It is a beautiful shade of purple with strands of gold mixed in! I can think of a million outfits that this piece will go perfectly with! Even my hubby commented on how nice it was. Thank you so much Roxanne!!!!
I love the color & the texture!

My camera sucks (wishing for a new one for xmas)
but can you see the way the gold sparkles!

This is the one that I sent Roxanne and it seems like we have alot of the same taste. Hers too has threads of gold and also a hint of silver. When I saw it and saw all the shades of blue I thought it would be perfect. I hope that she likes it!

Michele Update:
Michele is doing much better than she was this weekend. Still not great though. She went to the doctors yesterday and they gave her some stronger prescriptions for the pain and they had to work out some of the asphalt that is starting to come up through her skin. Its a very painful procedure. She is pretty stiff today and a little groggy from the meds. All in all she is just taking it one day at a time.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

PS. At the end of October I will be doing a fabulous giveaway! Details later.

BEYOND Blessed and Thankful!

I cannot express to you enough how thankful and blessed we truly are. I have an amazing husband, a wonderful family and God watches over us everyday. I can't wait to blog about the amazing scarf I received from the lovely Roxanne over at Hangin with the Bradfords for our scarf swap. But you will just have to wait to see it tomorrow. Today I want to share with you one of the many reasons God is AMAZING!

My beautiful and loving sister Michele is alive today. Friday night she was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident. She was attending the Fort Bend County Fair and left on a motorcycle with a friend. She wasn't wearing a helmet and after accelerating when she wasn't expecting it she feel off the motorcycle and hit the ground hard. Without giving any other terrifying details I will say that she is alive today and boy was God watching out for her. She spent the rest of the night in the ER. She has no broken bones but the majority of her body is covered in road rash and its not a pretty sight. She is missing alot of her skin but again she is ALIVE. She received a few stitches as well and is pretty banged up. She also hit her head really hard but didn't suffer a concussion. The recovery is going to take a very long time and just changing out her bandages takes us almost 3 hours. It could have been so much worse and to think of what the other outcomes would have been absolutely kills me and brings us all to tears. But she is still here with us and we have so much to be thankful for. She is home with my parents now and is in great spirits. Michele will be in alot of pain and the healing they say can take up to a year. She is a strong woman though and I know she will come out of this stronger than ever but she will always remember that Friday night, as will the rest of us, for the rest of our lives. One thing I will say is that night she was wearing a shirt that I gave her a while back with a cross made of rhinestones. The people working on her that night had to cut her clothes off but I believe that her wearing that shirt really protected her and I know that God was there with her. I promise you Michele, you will be getting a new shirt from me to replace the last but I am so happy that you are still here today.

So I finish this post with many kleenex in hand and tears flowing but I feel that we are beyond blessed and truly thankful for God's miracle. I hope that you all had a blessed weekend as well! xoxo

Welcome to the Lenz's! I know many of you were not able to attend the festivities but don't fret. You are always welcome in our household and we would love to have you! Till then take a tour of our house from the convenience of your computer. Keep in mind there is still so many things that Chris and I want to accomplish and we are no where near finished. Still lots to decorate, improve and fill in the empty rooms. But all in due time. Hope you enjoy!

There is a lot more to come. I didn't even show you our office or laundry room. Lot's will change as we figure out what works and what doesn't and what we are still missing. I have to say though it has been a blast being homeowners and can't wait to get to the finished product. Not sure if that will ever happen though, lol! Hope you are all enjoying this gorgeous weather and can't wait for the weekend to finally arrive!
