I have been trying for a few days to load up pics from this past weekend but for some reason it's taking forever and not really cooperating with me! This is why I have been absent from posting. Excuses, excuses I know!
This past weekend was a busy one with it being Easter Weekend. Saturday we spent the day in Livingston with my side of the family and enjoyed some oh so amazing boiled shrimp, corn and potatoes! Chris and my dad did an amazing job and we ate till our stomachs couldn't take it anymore. We played washers and enjoyed some much needed family time. Pictures to come soon if they ever load on here! Then Sunday we went to Beaumont to spend the day with Chris' side of the family. It turned out to be a beautiful day and got to spend some much needed quality time with his grandpa.
This week has been a crazy one. Work has been insane and rewarding at the same time. I am finally starting to get some credit around here and the top guys have even given their praises. It's a big relief and things are starting to move upwards. I have been here for 5 years come June and my time here is starting to pay off.
Tomorrow I am taking off to clean the house and get ready for a very exciting weekend! Before I get into that I have an odd question for all you clean freaks out there. How long does it take you to clean your house and do you have any tricks up your sleeve to make everything spic and span? I have a love/hate relationship with cleaning. I don't necessarily look forward to cleaning but its also a stress reliever especially when its all done and Chris is not there to mess it up. I may be a freak for this but don't judge me: the last thing I do is vacuum so that its all nice and neat lines and once I am done I try not to walk on the carpet. It's just so nice to enjoy a clean house.
Ok so this weekend Chris and I are having our First Annual Lenz Crawfish Boil! I am so excited and absolutely thrilled that almost everyone is going to be there. In Texas crawfish season is a BIG deal! There is nothing better than good spicy crawfish with a cold beer and your closest family and friends on a gorgeous spring day! And gorgeous it will be! The weather is supposed to be perfect this Saturday. Hopefully I can get some sun on these pasty legs of mine. We have almost everything ready to go! Bring it on!
Ok I'm sorry but I have to get back to work. Gotta stay on there good graces! I'll post more later! xoxo

What a fun weekend ahead! I use Tide Bleach Pen to clean the grout in our showers, it makes it so nice and white!! But it takes me a good 4 hours to clean our 2 bedroom apartment. I also vaccum last, that way whatever falls on the floor while I am cleaning gets picked up. Good luck! I am cleaning house today!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Livingston. SO pretty there!
Love the new layout! I like those colors A LOT together!
Glad work is looking better!
See ya Saturday :)
And boy did your Dad do a good job on the shrimp boil! Yummo! I love a clean house too. I listen to music or podcasts while I clean. And I completely understand the nice clean vacuum lines. I hate it when I have to unplug the vacuum and mess up my handiwork with a foot smudge. :(
Bummed we won't be there this weekend! I know you guys are going to fun and I know you're a great host. Relax and enjoy it! :)

Please share more cleaning tips!
I am a clean freak...I kinda love cleaning a lot. Well, I have my cleaning on a schedule. Certain things get done on MWF, and others on T/TH. I a do constant touch ups in between. I love to use cleaning wipes on surfaces in between the dee cleanings, and the magic eraser for the moldings...although it'd not useful on anything other than those (at least not for me). Gawd, I could talk about cleaning all day...
