HGTV Addict

I know that I have a lot to share but my mind is all over the place that I can't seem to focus on what we have done in the last week. Yesterday we spent a wonderful day at my parents house celebrating my sweet mom's birthday! I won't tell you her age but she sure doesn't look it! I just hope I look half as good at her age. We had lots of laughs, plenty of good talks and great food! My grandparents even decided to join us for the special occasion. There is nothing better than being with your family and having a great time!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

The majority of my time has been towards getting the house to-do list items checked off. Negotiations: check. Inspection: check. Home Insurance: check. Lots and lots to do! It's been super stressful but extremely exciting at the same time. I have become addicted to HGTV (thanks Dad!) and even became a member of their online website, lol! So many great inspirations. Here are just a few ideas that I envision for my master.

We are painting the bedroom a dark mocha color to give it a rich, romantic look. Which design do you like better? The first task we will be conquering will be painting the entire inside of the house. We have already picked out our colors and can't wait to get started.

Tonight us bridesmaids are getting together to wrap up the final details for Megan's bachelorette party coming up this Saturday! I can't believe that its already here! Wow, time has really flown by! It's going to be a quite an event filled with lots of games, laughter and amazing gifts for the bride-to-be!

Lots to do this week but I will try to post again soon. I need to get better about being more consistant! Hope everyone has a great week! xoxo

Casa de Lenz

It has been a little over a week since I last blogged and I have been missing it terribly. But I didn't want to post anything and jinx the good news that I wanted to share. CHRISTOPHER & I HAVE FOUND THE ONE (a house that is)!!! It is everything that we have been dreaming of and more. We are thrilled to be closing on the house on May 27th and moving into our home on June 10th or soon there after. We look forward to having everyone over to celebrate our new adventure in becoming homeowners! Lots of new exciting things to post about! First on the to-do list: painting the inside!
Volunteers are welcome!

Home Sweet Home

On un-house related news. Last weekend was Megan's second shower. Although it was pouring we didn't let it dampen the mood and we had a blast! It was a beautiful event and Megan and J got some amazing things! Their wedding day is fastly approaching and all the events that take place before the big day will be here before we know it!

With their wedding on the horizon it also means that our 1 year anniversary is coming up on May 17th. I have something special planned for Christopher and I and I can't wait to share it with all of you but you will just have to wait so I don't spoil the surprise!

I have been up since 4 this morning and need to finally get ready for work. I hope that everyone had a great weekend and I hope that you all enjoy the weather this week! It's been absolutely gorgeous! If only it stayed like this all year round! xoxo

Belly Dancing...

It was so sad going back to work today after a long three day weekend but my body probably needed a break. We went all out this past weekend and felt like we were 21 again but our bodies were telling us differently. Thursday night the guys planned a night of drinking and belly dancing at a small Greek bar. I was a little skeptical at first because I had never seen anyone really belly dancing and I was just hoping that this wasn't like some strip bar. I haven't had that much fun in ages! We stayed out all night with some great people, had way too many drinks and the desire to take belly dancing classes. We can't wait to go back!

Such a great picture of us

Chris providing tips to the ladies

There is a really funny story behind this one
So one of Christopher coworkers, Teressa, joined us out for our night of fun. During her trip to the ladies room she ran into the belly dancers and asked them if the would pull Christopher up to dance with them. When they made their way to the dance floor they kept looking in our direction. Nick begins to freak and totally bolts thinking that they were going to grab him so then Christopher starts getting suspicious of what was really going on and then he jets. So both of the guys are out on the front patio watching through the windows. I mean this was their idea and here they are outside too afraid to come in. Chris Iconos didn't mind that they were gone cause he grabbed their money and strutted out to the dance floor to give the girls some money.
So as the dances are winding down the boys sneak to behind their crowd and take a seat after the ladies exit. What they didn't know is that it wasn't over so Chris still got his chance to dance with the Belly Dancers!

We are totally taking classes!

This is why we didn't feel so hot the next day

The Belly Dancers

The next day we spent the majority of the day recovering from that crazy night and trying to rest up for our game night that night. If you know us Lenz's we have games galore. If you are ever wondering what to get us as a gift for anything that is your best best! Jenn & Brian joined us for a game of Tripoloy! One of the best games ever. We still have to finish the round cause we can't let Chris win this one. Then Nick and Tracey came for a phase 10 game. Once again we were up till almost four! We had such a great time and wish that Jenn & Brian could have stayed longer.

Saturday was another day of house shopping which I am totally getting sick of it. Not as much fun as it claims to be. We might have a potential on our hands but trying to play safe and get more information.

Sunday was a very good Easter and we hope that you all had the same! xoxo

Stylish with my new jewelry!!!

I thought that after the holidays things would start slowing down a bit. But that has not been the case for 2009. We have been running none stop and probably will for the remainder of the year. Last Saturday my sweet friend Meredith launched her new jewelry business with Stella & Dot and had a wonderful party to promote it. It was a great success and I am now starting a wish list for the items that I so desire. You have to visit her site here and see all the stylish accessories for your summer wardrobe. Here are a few things that I got and have already received in the mail today (wow they are fast)!

Saturday was still full of things to do. After the party, I went to help Megan and her mom with a few wedding tasks, one more thing to check off the list of to do's before the I do's! Later that night we headed off to celebrate Corey's surprise bday party. It was an absolute blast! Great job Jennifer (by the way you need to post your first blog)! Here are a few pics from the night.

After the surprise bday it was off to the karaoke bar to celebrate another birthday party for our old friend JV! Now I have never been to a karaoke bar before so it was a new experience for me. I would really love to go with more of my close friends, then maybe just maybe, I would work up the courage to take the stage! No promises though! Despite not taking the stage I had a wonderful time dancing to the music and laughing at those you made up words for the parts that they didn't know. Great job Lindsey, JV is lucky to have you!

It was another Sunday of house shopping and another disappointment of not seeing any potentials. We are staying positive though and taking another trip out to Katy on Saturday. We are getting closer and closer though.

This has been a crazy week so far. I am really excited to spend some quality time with some of my favorite girls, Megan, Jenn & Meredith tomorrow night. Hanging out with them is always a fun time. The older you get the harder it is to find true friends. In the last year I have been so blessed to be surrounded by such great girls and you all know who you are!

There are many more things going on this week but you will just have to wait till the next post to hear about it! I hope you have all had a great week so far. Happy Easter!!!!

xoxo
