15 Weeks

Being pregnant is more than I ever expected or dreamed it would be!  I have been very blessed to have not dealt with any morning sickness, nausea or any of the other symptoms many face in their first trimester.  The only issue I have had thus far is the crazy back pain and the stretching of this growing bump.  But I beyond thrilled to be experiencing God's miracle.

The bump is getting bigger by the day and truthfully I am in shock of how fast I have grown.  Everyone is different and their bodies react differently to pregnancy.  Some grow bigger, some carry low, some carry high, etc...but honestly I was never expecting to show as much as I am at this point already.  However, there is no mistaking that there is a baby in there and there has not really been that in-between stage where you are pregnant and people can't tell.  In fact, people were asking before I was even ready to announce.

The other day my mom and I had a day of shopping and she could tell how uncomfortable I was in my clothing.  She said "I love you honey, but its time to start wearing only maternity clothes."  So we headed to the nearest maternity store and we tried on what felt like a million clothes.  Let me just say that this was no easy task and I couldn't have done it without my amazing mom!  She helped me grab sizes, different shirts and even put on those baby bumps they have in the dressing room to make sure it will fit with the growing belly.  We were both in awe of how these clothes stretch!  I am much more comfortable now in my maternity clothes and can finally breathe! Thanks a million mom for battling the dressing room with me!

Since so many others start a pregnant journal when they are pregnant or turn their blog into one, I have decided that I am just going to blog about it.  Plus it gives everyone a chance to see what's going on.  However, I promise this will not become just a baby blog! :) So without further ado, here we go...

How far along? 15 weeks.  The baby is the size of a naval orange!  (4.5in, 2 to 3oz)
Maternity clothes? It's all I am wearing.  Maternity shorts, shirts and dresses.  I am still able to wear some of my older maxi dresses but have to pray that my boobs don't pop out! lol
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: Sleeping is hard right now.  We got the pregnancy pillow to help relieve some of the pressure but I am still feeling growing pains and tossing and turning has become harder than I thought.  And thanks to the many bathroom breaks the hubby occasionally wakes up too to make sure I am ok.
Best moment this week:  I could have sworn I felt a flutter, but not 100% sure.
Miss Anything? Wine!  If any pregnant woman says that they don't miss alcohol because they are pregnant are full of it!  Especially at this time of year when patio drinking is the best!
Movement: Just a flutter, I think...
Food cravings: Cherry Tomatoes, Avocados and these amazing homemade fries my hubby makes!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, been really blessed
Gender: we find out at the beginning of June
Labor Signs: Way too early.
Symptoms: crazy back pain and stretching pains in the belly
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: I really couldn't be happier!
Looking forward to: oh so much!  Being able to fill the baby, our next appointment on May 10th, finding out the gender...the list goes on and on!

Cute dress! I just bought the maxi skirt version...so comfortable! You're looking great! Gotta love the "omg I can't believe how big you are already" type comments!

Also, couldn't agree more about this drinking weather! I had a few sips of my moms red wine the other night and it was heaven, ha! It is so not fair that pregnant woman of all people are the ones who can't drink.

Hope you continue to feel good!
