Is it too early?

When do you decorate for Christmas? Every year I fight the urge to start my Christmas decorating before Thanksgiving. And yet every year I still do it before the turkey is even out of the oven. But it seems to me that this year I am not the only one! Lot's of people (not just retail stores but actual people) have already started putting up their trees, lights and winter decor. Are you one of them? If not when do you do it? I am still debating.

I always do mine before Thanksgiving. In fact, we're doing our tree tonight and pulling everything out of the attic! It's a lot of work to decorate for Christmas so I want to enjoy it for more than a month!!

I know lots of people (including myself) who start soon if not immediately after Halloween. Sugar Land Town Square has their decor and tree up already, too. Nothing wrong with enjoying it all a little longer. Breaking the "after Thanksgiving" rule doesn't hurt anyone.

we put our stuff out last weekend. and i'm loving it. i'm not a big fan of the thanksgiving holiday, but some people love it so much they get offended when people like me decorate early.. My husband isn't even going to be here for the week of thanksgiving, so i'm going to my parents house. And we also travel over christmas, so it's not like i'm getting extra christmas cheer for decorating early, i'll just be able to enjoy it the same amount as other people that start decorating after thanksgiving.

the other thing is that fall decor is out from september-november, but then christmas stuff is only out from Dec 1-Dec 31.... So I like to get as much christmas time in as i can.

It's not too early for us! As long as we aren't hosting Thanksgiving at our house then we decorate for Christmas on Veteran's day!

Too early. Not until after Thanksgiving. Gotta give the bird it's due!

We also do tree decorating/cookie making with my niece & nephew & we have to get through Thanksgiving with them first. :)

I plan to do it the day after Thanksgiving. But all our decorations are already down from the attic and ready to be displayed. I have started wrapping gifts. I love the holiday season.

I already decorated... oops! I normally wouldn't do it until after Thanksgiving but we won't be in Atlanta for much of December and I want time to enjoy my decorations! I say jump in and get started this weekend.... no harm in spreading the cheer a little early :)
